INSPIRATION STATION

3/29/09

STARING OFF WITH A TRIPLE
WITH A PIECE OF CHEESE FOR EACH
PATTY, PEPPERJACK ON 2 AND AMERICAN
ON THE OTHER.
STEAMED SEASONED ON A KAISER BUN.
LETTUCE, TOMATO, PICKLE, ONION,MUSTARD,
CHIPOLTE MAYO, AND A-1 T/H.
BEFORE I FLIPPED THE BURGS, THEY LOOKED NOT
SO APPETIZING(GRAY AND OOZING) FROM STEAMAGE.
BUT THEY WERE VERY PLUMP AND JUICY. GOOD AMOUNT OF
CHEESE. A MELD OF FLAVORS AND TEVTURE. SORT OF UNRULY.
COULD HAVE FINISHED BREAKFAST THERE.

ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT BURGER...
A TRIBUTE TO MINNEAPOLIS' JUICY LUCY.
LOW DOWN: TWO QUARTER INCH PATTIES BECOME A
COFFIN FOR A FEW INCH SQUARE PIECES OF CHEESE.
SEALED OFF UNTIL YOU BITE INTO THEM AND THEN BAM!
DRIPPY CHEESEY GOODNESS. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA
SO I TRIED IT MYSELF.
ADDED CHEESE TO THE TOP AND STEAMED IT. SO THE BURGER WAS
ENGULFED WITH CHEESE. LETTUCE, PICKLE, CHIPOLTE MAYO, MUSTARD,
KETCHUP, VERY DRIPPY. I SHOULD HAVE WORN GLOVES. PINK CENTER, CHEESE
DID NOT DRIP OUT AS IT SHOULD HAVE. IT WASNT QUITE FULLY COOKED SO IT
JUST STAYED PUT. THOUGH IT WAS MELTED. NOT BAD AT ALL, WOULD LOVE TO TRY
THE REAL THING.

NEW JOINT TO ME AT LEAST

BEFORE POETRY NIGHT I HAD TO STOP
AND CHECK IT OUT. MY FRIEND DANIELLE
SUGGESTED.
DOUBLE MEAT WITH BACON AND CHEESE.
LETTUCE, ONION, PICKLE, TOMATO,
MUSTARD, KETCHUP, JALAPENO.
VERY THICK PATTIES, PROBABLY CLOSE TO
1/2 INCH. tHE BACON WAS ANOTHER STORY
IT WAS SORT OF INTIMIDATING. THINK OF
BACON THAT YOUR DAD WOULD MAKE ON
A SATURDAY MORNING... THAT WAS IT BUT
BETTER. IT WAS THICK, CRISPY, AND
GEOGRAPHIC....PERFECT. NOT FLAT AT ALL.
SLIGHT PINK CENTER OF THESE TWO PATTIES.
IT WAS NICE TO FIND MORE MEAT THAN VEGGIES.
NOT TOO MUCH ONION OR TOMATO, BUT
NOT ENOUGH JALAPENOS. THE BOTTOM BUN WAS
RIPPING AT THE GIRTH OF THIS BURGER.
I WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING TO
ISAAC'S. DECENT PRICES, ESPECIALLY FOR THE
SIZE AND TASTE.

HOME MADE BURGS THIS TIME.
ONE WITH A FRIED EGG THAT
SEEMED LIKE A SORT OF OMELET
WITH BACON PIECES AND JALAPENOS
RIGHT IN THE TOP LAYER OF EGG.
EGG WAS SEASONED WITH SALT/PEPPER
CHEESE ON THE EGG.
BACK TO THE BURG:
CHEESE, CRUSHED RED PEPPER, CAJUN
SEASONING, BACON PIECES RIGHT IN
THE MEAT. NO DRESSINGS REQUIRED.

THE OTHER:
SAME STYLE BURGER WITH SEASONS
AND ALL, BACON AND CHEESE, LETTUCE
WHICH WAS VERY CRISP, PICKLES,
MUSTARD, AND KETCHUP.
A PRETTY STANDARD BURGER.

ALL IN ALL, VERY TASTEFUL. THE
SEASONINGS CAME THROUGH IN
ALL EVERY BITE.

NOT BAD, WENT TO EAT WITH THE
PARENTS, THEIR TREAT. NICE TOASTY
BUN, PRETTY DECENT.

THE BURGER: JALAPENO BURGER.
I WAS DEBATING OVER THE
COMFORT BURGER THOUGH, IT
HAD MASHED POTATOES AND
GRAVY. THE JALAPENO WON.
IT WON BIG TIME.
A JALAPENO FOR EVERY BITE IT
SEEMED. LETTUCE, PICKLE, TOMATO,
MUSTARD, KETCHUP, MUSTARD,
LITTLE MAYO, PICKLE WEDGE. THE BUN
IS WHAT SET IT OFF FIRST. CRISP AND
VERY SOFT. THE BURGER WAS COOKED
MEDIUM. THE DRIPPIEST BURGER TO DATE.
MOUTHFULS OF YUM AND FLAVOR.
GOOD AMOUNT OF HEAT.
ONE OF THE TOP BURGERS OF THE WHOLE YEAR.
PROVOLONE CHEESE VERY MELTY.

THIS IS A LITTLE NEW.
CHOPPED ONION AND JALAPENO
MASHED RIGHT INTO THE MEAT,
TWO PATTIES SEASONED.
BETWEEN THE MEAT I MADE
A POCKET FOR SOME SHREDDED
COLBY JACK CHEESE THEN MADE
A SINGLE PATTY OUT OF THEM.
STEAMED TO KEEP THE JUICES IN
AND TO COOK IT FASTER. ABOUT
AN INCH THICK AFTER COOKING.

ON A BAKERY BUN, LETTUCE,
TOMATO, CHIPOLTE MAYO,
MUSTARD, PICKLES, MAYBE.
A PIECE OF PEPPERJACK CHEESE
STEAMED AS WELL NEAR THE END
OF COOKING. COVERED THE BURGER
COMPLETELY.
CHOPPED STUFF WAS TOTALLY
FLAVORFUL. IT ADDED NEW TASTE TO
THE REST OF THE BURG. VERY GREASY,
BUT THAT WAS SORT OF EXPECTED.
ALL GOOD THOUGH. BUN WAS PERFECT
AND HELD UP TO THE MESS. NOT UNRULY.

LATER.
ONE SINGLE WITH CHEESE PEPPERJACK
AND AMERICAN STEAMED. CREATED A NICE
PINK CENTER AS WELL. LETTUCE, TOMATO,

WHY NOT

3/9/09

SO MY BUDDY JONA WANTED TO GO GET SOME GRUB
AFTER MOPED MONDAYS. SO WE WERE GOING TO
THE GRAND CONEY ON MICHIGAN. WE ENDED UP
ACROSS THE STREET AT DUKE'S BAR. HE WANTED
TO SEE IF HE COULD GET ME A BREW. WE TRIED AND
IT WORKED. WE GOT A PINT OF SOMETHING, HE PAID.
THEN WE WENT AND ORDERED SOME FOOD. I GOT A
BURGER, OF COURSE. JONA GOT SOME CHICKEN STRIPS.
TOOK A SHOT WITH SOME BARFLIES WHILE WAITING
FOR THE FOOD. GOT THE FOOD. AND STARTED IN.

THE BURGER WAS ON THIS FANTASTIC BUN, HELD
UP TO THE WEAR AND TEAR OF THE DRESSINGS.
CHEESE, TOMATO, ONION, LETTUCE, KETCHUP,
AND MAYO. I WAS GETTING CLOSE TO BEING DRUNK
SO I WASNT SURE IF THERE WAS PICKLES OR MUSTARD
ON IT. BUT, SOMETHING THAT WAS DEFINITELY
UNEXPECTED WAS THE ONIONS.
I DONT LIKE ONIONS, BUT THIS BURGER MADE ONIONS
SEEM LIKE THE SHIT. CHOPPED LARGE, NOT BAD OR
OVER POWERING. GOOD FLAVOR, SEASONED WITH SALT
AND PEPPER ALONG WITH FRANKS RED HOT SAUCE.

VERY GOOD I WOULD SAY FOR A BAR. AND THE PRICE
WAS PRETTY GOOD TOO. $4.25.

ONE SINGLE WITH AMERICAN CHEESE, SEASONED,
AND DRESSED WITH: KETCHUP, MUSTARD, PICKLE,
LETTUCE, TOMATO, MAYBE A LITTLE CHIPOLTE MAYO.

THE BURGERS WE MAKE FOR BREAKFAST ARE HOLDING
ON TO BIG TASTE. MORE SO THAN YOUR AVERAGE
STEAK N SHAKE MEAL. THEY ARE FULL OF FLAVOR
THE BUNS ARE PRETTY GOOD.

GOOD BREAKFAST AS ALWAYS.

WORKED THE SHAKE TODAY, SO A BURGER WAS HAD.
JUST ONE MINI. DECENTLY JUICY, AND FULL OF FLAVOR
FOR IT'S SIZE. SEASONED, MUSTARD, A-1 THICK AND HEARTY.
AMERICAN CHEESE. YOU KNOW HOW IT IS.

I GOT HOME FROM WORK AND WAS CRAVING SOMETHING. BUT,
I DIDNT KNOW WHAT.
THERE WAS A COUPLE LEFT OVER BURGERS IN THE FRIDGE.
SO I WARMED ONE UP THEN THREW SOME CHEESE ON THAT
BITCH. THEN I DRESSED IT WITH MUSTARD, HEINZ 57 SAUCE,
THEN DORITOS.
IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER. IT WAS LEFT OVER THOUGH
SO I WASNT WORRIED.
NEEDED MORE JUICE, CONDIMENTS, AND DORITOS. NEEDED LESS
TEMPERATURE.

SO I'M UP NORTH FOR A COUPLE DAYS WITH DANA.
LUNCH WAS NEEDED. DANA THOUGHT THERE WAS
AN OLIVE GARDEN IN MT. PLEASANT, NOPE.
SO WE WENT TO APPLEBEES.

ONE FIRE PIT BACON BURGER.
TOMATO, LETTUCE, PICKLES,
MUSTARD, SOME SORT OF CHIPOLTE
MAYO STUFF, NICE AND THICK BACON,
TOASTY BUN, 5/8TH INCH THICK BURG.

VERY TASTEY. MINIMAL GREASE SPILLAGE,
YET JUICY. VERY NICE COMBINATION OF
FLAVORS. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND
BURG WITH A TOMATO ON IT. COULDNT
REALLY TASTE IT, WHICH IS FINE WITH ME.
JALAPENOS WOULD HAVE DONE THIS BURG
RIGHT. THE BUNS HELD UP TO THE SIZE OF
THE TOPPINGS WHICH WAS ALSO NICE.
THE THING I HATE MOST IN A BURGER IS
WHEN IT CANT STAY TOGETHER.
SATISFIED I WAS.

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER BURGER

IT'S SUNDAY AGAIN AND THAT MEANS BREAKFAST BURGERS
AT STEAK N SHAKE.
RYAN AND I GOT OUR TRUCK GUY TO JOIN IN AS WELL.
HE IS NEW TO THE ROUTE AND WILL BE WITH US FOR
A FEW MONTHS.

ONE TRIPLE WITH AMERICAN AND PEPPERJACK
CHEESE. PICKLES, CHIPOLTE MAYO, A-1
THICK AND HEARTY, MUSTARD, AND AN ONION
RING. SEASONED WITH SOMETHING LIKE LOWRY'S.

VERY TASTEY BURG. THEY LOOKED GOOD AND TASTED
THE SAME. VERY SATISFIED AFTER THIS ONE.

THE CONSENSUS BETWEEN RYAN AND I WAS THAT A SINGLE
WOULD DO THE TRICK.

ONE SINGLE WITH AMERICAN AND PEPPERJACK CHEESE.
PICKLES, LETTUCE, CHIPOLTE MAY, A-1 T AND H, MUSTARD,
SEASONED, AND ONION RING. YET AGAIN, A TASTE FILLED
BURGER. DELICIOUS.
